Personally I too am waiting on the newer cards, if you are willing to spend 500-600 bucks on a video card you should too. But not much beyond that. This includes NP links and archived links. Since memory bandwidth is a significant performance bottleneck, choosing GDDR5 is a no-brainer.Just remember this: when it comes to graphics cards, 1 GB of GDDR5 is infinitely preferable to 4 GB
